Hamburg City Cycles is a young company with long term and environmental friendly aims. It is important for us that you are content with us and that you enjoy the time that you share with us.

Co-operations

On our tours we only stop in restaurant or cafés that we have chosen because of their quality and flair - not because we receive a commission. We have clearly decided against any kind of these co-operations with restaurants.

Environmental sustainability

With our guided bike tours and our bike rental we we offer an eco-friendly option to explore our city, but we still use resources. To minimise our ecological impact we only use electric power from renewable energy sources and use preferably eco-friendly office supplies.   

Security

For your security our bikes are regularly maintained. All bikes are equipped with puncture proof tires, what unfortunately doesn't mean that you can't get a flat tire. For this and similar circumstances our guides on all guided tours are equipped with all the tools that we might need for the most common malfunctions. And for the unlikely case of an accident our tour guides always have a first aid kit with them. Let's play it safe!

Lars Michaelsen

Some years ago he left Hamburg to complete a study of Landscape planning in Berlin. Later on, as well as working in Mexico, Australia and Spain, he also had the opportunity to travel to various other countries. It was through these experiences that he realized what a strong impression Hamburg, the city and its people, had left on him. He eventually returned with a newfound appreciation for his hometown and a craving to share it with others.

Combining this with a passion for biking, he hopes to offer the chance to get acquainted with this beautiful city in a unique way - that just so happens to be the ideal way - to experience the heart of Hamburg!
