Scenic Bike Tour Along the Elbe River

On this tour along the river Elbe we cycle the most beautiful routes in Hamburg. We ride through the historic tunnel underneath the river called Alter Elbtunnel and along the harbour to the beach at the Elbe. After a short break we ride along the Elbe back to St. Pauli, enjoying splendid views all the way.

This tour is perfect for harbour and ship lovers with wanderlust. We start in St. Pauli to the vibrant Portuguese quarter with its lovely small boutiques and cafés up to the landing bridges. An elevator takes us down to the historic tunnel Alter Elbtunnel underneath the river Elbe, that we cycle through. We show you the famous fish market, the quaint St. Pauli district and the fishing harbour of Altona with its heavy cranes and afterwards beautiful Övelgönne. At the southern bank of Elbe you can discover modern technology and the giant dimensions of container ships. On the way back we cycle through Elbpark to Altonaer Balkon with breathtaking views until we’re back in St. Pauli.
