„Discover Hamburg from St. Pauli to the outer Alster“
This tour showcases Hamburg from a variety of perspectives. We set off from Gebrüder-Wolf-Platz in St. Pauli, where we’ll first cycle through the neighbourhood and along Große Freiheit. From there, we continue to the Schanzenviertel around the Rote Flora, a district that has been synonymous with alternative culture and political movements for decades. Passing through Schanzenpark with its striking water tower, the route continues towards the university and into the leafy, elegant neighbourhoods around Rotherbaum. At the Outer Alster, we take a leisurely ride along the water’s edge before stopping off on the way back to take a look at the Gängeviertel – a place that reflects Hamburg’s transformation particularly well.

This tour thrives on changing perspectives. In a short space of time, you experience very different sides of Hamburg – from the rough neighbourhoods and alternative districts to the elegant streets around the Alster.
The Schanzenviertel, home to the Rote Flora, is one of the most fascinating places in the city’s history. Here, Hamburg reveals its creative, political and, at times, slightly rebellious side.
The atmosphere around the University, Rotherbaum and the Außenalster is quite different. Wide streets, old villas and plenty of greenery characterise this part of the city.
Finally, the route takes you through the Gängeviertel – a small part of Hamburg that shows how the city’s history, culture and modern urban life intertwine. -
Please arrive at the meeting point about 10 minutes before the tour starts.

What happens if it rains?
We go ahead even if it rains. Depending on availability, we provide free ponchos for the tour. However, if it does rain, it’s usually just a brief shower or drizzle. Continuous heavy rain is very rare in Hamburg. Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, of course. You’re welcome to bring your own bike. In that case, please book the discounted rate” -
